If you think about it, 99% of job hunters are reactive when it comes to job hunting. They either respond to job advertisements, or approach recruitment consultants who put them forward for certain jobs. They then to need to react to options that the recruitment consultant presents to them, and then proceed with interviews.
With the vast amount of online resources we have available to us today, there is no excuse for not being proactive when job hunting. Rather than waiting for a prospective employer to find your CV amongst hundreds of others, take your skills and experience to the employer. Put yourself in front of them in whatever way possible. There is one clear message that this sends: You are 100% motivated to work for this particular company, and you are prepared to go above and beyond the norm to get a job with them.
The great thing about this is that you can choose your budget. If you only want to spend £10, then fine. That might only get you 5 clicks, but if you target the ad correctly, any of those 5 clicks may well come to fruition.
The best recent example I can find of someone maximizing the job hunting through Facebook ads is a girl called Kate looking for a digital media internship in London. She didn’t spend a cent on the campaign, because Facebook sent a £25 ad voucher.
